Phil Neese | Lead Pastor

Phil and Brittany have been married since 2014 and are blessed with four wonderful children: Lily, Esther, Paul and Irene. In May 2023, the Neese family followed the Lord’s leading and moved from Greenville, SC to Sonoma as Phil answered the call to pastor FBS.

Phil’s greatest passion is knowing Jesus Christ. Phil is continually amazed by God’s grace and love towards a sinner like him. He is passionate about preaching the Bible and equipping the local church to fulfill the Great Commission. He is pursuing an MDiv at Southern Seminary in Louisville KY where he has been studying since 2018. Phil enjoys spending time with Brittany and their children, drinking coffee with a good book in hand, all things outdoors and studying the box score for the Atlanta Braves.

His favorite verse is Philippians 1:21, “For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
